"Local chapter really came through for us"
After my mom got her diagnosis, I had no idea what I was supposed to do next. I called our local chapter while sitting at my kitchen table with a half-cold cup of coffee, and I was upset. The person I talked to didn’t rush me at all, which meant a lot.
They sent over support group info and explained respite care in normal, plain words instead of making it sound like paperwork soup. It was one of those weeks where even finding my car keys felt hard, but that call made everything feel a little less impossible. I’m really grateful.

"Outreach was a bit hit or miss"
I was kind of in a rush when I reached out, so the slow replies were frustrating. Some of the local info they shared was actually helpful, but the events weren’t explained very clearly and I felt like I had to piece things together myself. I expected a little more follow-up.

"I signed up for one of..."
I signed up for one of the Alzheimer’s walks through alz.org, and based on this experience, I’d say these events seem like a really meaningful way to get people together. Registration was simple, and I liked that I could set up a small team page for family and friends without much hassle.
The walk itself had a friendly, supportive feel, and you could tell a lot of people were there because the cause meant something personal to them. My only issue was that the parking and check-in details could have been clearer ahead of time, which made the beginning a little confusing. Still, I’m glad I went and would probably do another one

"Felt comfortable sharing my info"
I was a little nervous at first, but they seem to handle my info really carefully. I haven’t gotten any weird spam or anything like that, which is super reassuring

"Helpful for caregivers, even if it didn’t answer everything"
I used alz.org when I was helping care for my mom, mainly for caregiver tips and support resources. some of the pages were really helpful and written in a way that didn’t make me feel overwhelmed, which I appreciated.
I did call the helpline too, and the person was kind, so I don’t want to act like it was a bad experience. I just felt like some of the advice was general, and I was hoping for more specific local resources or practical next steps for our situation.

That said, I still think it’s a good site and I’m glad it exists. It gave me somewhere to start and made me feel a little less alone, even if it couldn’t magically solve every caregiving problem...

"Donation process was easier than most"
I donated through alz.org, it was quicker than a lot of other donation pages I’ve used. The site loaded without any issues, the form was straightforward, and I didn’t have to stop and figure out what they were asking for.
I got my email receipt almost immediately too, which was reassuring. Compared with some places that make you click through a bunch of extra screens, this felt really smooth and simple from start to finish.

When my mom got her diagnosis, we were scared and confused. This made everything feel a lot less overwhelming and helped us understand what was going on a bit better. Really appreciate it.

"Seems trustworthy, but I’m still a little unsure"
The site was helpful and gave me the info I needed, and it does seem reliable overall. I’d probably use it again, though I still have a bit of hesitation until I’ve had more experience with it.

"Practical help when I needed it"
I started using Alzheimer’s Association Shop when my dad began needing more day-to-day help. I didn’t read everything on the site, mostly just the sections that matched what we were dealing with, like routines, communication, and keeping things calmer at home. Those parts were really easy to understand and gave me a few ideas I could actually use. Some pages didn’t quite fit our situation, but overall it was a helpful place to turn when I felt unsure

"I looked through the fundraising info because..."
I looked through the fundraising info because I’m always a little suspicious with these things, it was easier to understand than I expected. I didn’t feel like I had to dig around or guess what was going on, which made me feel a lot better about donating.

"Really easy to follow and feels respectful"
I liked how the info felt welcoming, like it wasn’t only meant for one type of family. The wording is simple and respectful, and it seems like they actually thought about different cultures and caregiving setups, which I appreciated...

"Helpful, but the experience felt a bit stressful"
They did help our family in the end, but the whole process still felt overwhelming. At times, I felt like we were being talked down to instead of being guided through things, which made an already stressful situation harder.

"Helpful trial info, not as tricky as others"
I found the trial info useful, and compared to a few other sites I’ve tried, it wasn’t too hard to figure out. The site itself does feel a little clunky, but overall it gave me what I needed...

"Easy way to speak up"
I used alz.org to look up advocacy updates and it was simple. The site made it easy to find what was going on and send a message to lawmakers without feeling like a whole big thing. The steps were clear, not too much clicking around, and I liked that. I’m not totally sure what the final impact will be, but it felt good to do something and have a easy way to speak up.

"I went to one of their events..."
I went to one of their events it felt messy from the start. Check-in took way longer than it should have, the signs weren’t very helpful, and anytime I asked where to go next, people seemed unsure. I kept feeling like there weren’t clear next steps or directions, so I was kind of standing around guessing what I was supposed to do. The cause itself is great, but the planning definitely needed more work

"They made a hard call feel a little less lonely"
I don’t know if I’m just extra emotional right now, but when I called about my dad’s diagnosis, the staff were so kind. They were patient with me, actually listened, and didn’t make me feel like I needed to rush through everything. It meant a lot to feel heard during such a scary time

"I liked that the resources were there..."
I liked that the resources were there, but I got a bit frustrated because some of the links were confusing and I kept clicking around trying to figure out where I was supposed to go next and by the time I found what I needed I felt like it should have been a lot more straightforward
